Program 2 of 4 · Ages 3+ years
Nursery
The year of a hundred questions, and a great deal more talking.
The year in essence
Everything gets asked about. Everything gets talked about too, which is the point of the year. Children pour their own water, put on their own shoes, look after their own things. They paint. They act out little stories, and they hear the same books read aloud until they know them by heart. Words and confidence grow at the same rate, which is exactly how it should happen at three.

What this year builds
Three pillars of Nursery
Talking all day
Conversation, stories and songs run right through the morning, in English and alongside the languages children speak at home.
Doing it themselves
Pouring, buttoning, tidying up, choosing what to do next. Small bits of independence add up to quiet confidence.
First marks on paper
Crayons, brushes, fingers, clay. We treat the road to writing as art for now.
